Safety Edges

Safety edges are fitted to lift doors to prevent them from closing on passengers or objects. Using infrared sensors or mechanical detection, they automatically reopen the doors if something is in the way — improving safety and reducing the risk of injury or damage.

We supply and install both mechanical and infrared multi-beam safety edges, depending on the lift type and usage. Older lifts often rely on outdated mechanical edges or basic light rays, which can be unreliable or slow to react. Upgrading to a modern safety edge system improves door response and enhances passenger safety, especially in busy buildings.

All installations are neatly integrated and tested to ensure smooth, consistent operation.
