Assess the shaft as a working space.

Forge installs and renews lift shaft lighting. Failed fittings, dark areas or an ageing arrangement may call for a repair or a more complete upgrade.

We consider the equipment and access points that need illumination, suitable fitting locations and the environment inside the shaft. Building staff should not enter the shaft to investigate lighting faults.

Plan fittings, controls and cable routes.

A proposal can include LED fittings, supporting wiring and switching as appropriate to the installation. The design needs to account for lift movement, clearances and access for maintenance.

The scope and applicable requirements are established for the site. A standard spacing or fitting count is not suitable advice for every shaft.

Coordinate the work with lift availability.

Tell us about access restrictions and the effect of taking the lift out of service. We can discuss the work alongside repairs or planned modernisation.
